and i'm back!

an after school cupcake snack- feb. 18, 2013

safari quit working meaning that i wasn't able to get on-line. before this had happened, i tried to download chrome and firefox but it gave me the message that my computer wasn't able to handle it.

i was lucky to have one of my beloved friend's suggest that it could be my software- its too old.

so i took my computer to the apple store expecting not so great news. they told me my software was ancient but they could still download the newest software but it could erase all my photos and important stuff. i bought an external hard drive...long story...ended up burning the photos the a disk. took my computer in, got new software for free because apple guy quoted me $10 less than the actual price on the ex. hard drive. he saved me $29.99! and here i am- back on-line. [it didn't erase a thing but its always better to be safe than sorry]

here a few things i[we] have been up to since my last post:

1. painted the blue guest room a brighter shade of blue. just need to finish the doors. they're white.

2. got the back yard cemented. it looks so much better!

3. also bought a butt load of flowers. and a kumquat tree- yum!

4. catched a few movies: boys don't cry [a movie you watch only once], chocolat and i bought pitch perfect.

5. also caught up on a few new to me episodes of sex and the city.

6. ham texted me saying he got 97% on his math + gov't tests.  he's a genius and takes after his mom.

7. got a compliment at the apple store: one of the other workers said she wished customers were more like me- nice, smiling and joking around.

8. got a compliment at the bobbi brown counter: said i had beautiful eyes and girls would love to have them. [because i have so much space from eyelid to brows for lots of color]  wished i would of known her when i was younger, when family and people made fun of them.

9. also got compliments on my shoes from apple guy. [i think we might be friends]

10. went to z. gallerie and got some new knick knacks for the front entry. 

11. got mike new work shoes and a satchel aka a man purse for his birthday. he was using a back pack as a briefcase/computer carrier. told him he needs to step up the man card. [we also didn't pay that much for it- got an awesome deal]

12. mike's mom, brother and brother's girlfriend will be here on saturday.

13. still going to the gym. mike extended my training with andre. [he too, gave us a great deal]

14. went to a formal 50th surprise birthday party and i was underdressed even though i wore a sweater dress. we got to eat authentic african food. 

15. kaylee's school had a hoe down in celebration of texan day. i made chili for the teachers and staff to say thank-you from the second graders. it must of been good because the crock pot was licked clean.

16. kaylee went to a birthday party. they served some yummy authentic indian food. [same day as the african food]

i think thats about it. nothing too exciting and i'm sure i'm forgetting some stuff but i'm tired and need to go to bed!
